It was a very special moment when my God- Daughter Kirsty asked me to cover her wedding to the lovely Nate, I knew it would be a very emotional, happy and memorable day.
I arrived at her parents Mandy & Drum's house where Kirsty was getting ready along with her four bridesmaids, also there were her two brothers James and Connor and her Grandparents Stan & Daphne - a lovely family occasion.
After the hair and make-up was completed Kirsty put on her dress - it was stunning and she looked absolutely radiant, everyone was so proud.
I took some images of everyone in their finery before leaving for the Church, meanwhile Graham had arrived at the Tharp Arms where the Groom, Best Men and ushers and guests were meeting, taking some traditional and casual images, I joined him there and we waited for the bridesmaids and Mother of the Bride to arrive, they duly arrived in a wonderful car. After the guests went into the church we waited for Kirsty & Drum to arrive in another traditional vintage white Rolls Royce, we took some great images outside the church before we then went inside for the service.
The service was lovely, informal and relaxed, the usual images were taken, taking the vows, signing the register then walking out to the sound of the church bells. We then took the family and friends groups before the confetti throwing at the church gate, then into the cars for the journey to Rowley Mile Racecourse Newmarket.
The weather was great there, the sun came out and everyone mingled and toasted the couple with Champagne, after a while we took Kirsty & Nate off for some up close and personal images, there was lots of setting to get some great images, we then had great fun when the Groom, Best Men and Ushers lifted Kirsty up for some great images. We finished with a group photo of the whole wedding party in one of the grandstands.
Everyone then moved inside and found their table before the newly weds were announced into the wonderfully laid out banqueting room, a scrumptious meal then followed which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We then moved onto the speeches which were very entertaining and moving, the room was then cleared ready for the evening celebrations. The wonderful cake was bought forward for the ceremonial cutting which was duly captured and when this was cleared away the first dance was announced and Kirsty & Nate took to the floor and after a while they were joined by other guests.
All in all it was a wonderful day that went to plan and was enjoyed by everyone.
