Kayleigh & Lee's enquiry came through a recommendation and I was delighted to be asked to cover their special day at Barleylands Farm after a church service.
It was a lovely day and I arrived at Kayleigh & Lee's house early for the bridal preparations, it was calm and collected and very relaxed, plenty of time to take some great images of Kayleigh who looked stunning along with the bridesmaids and Amanda & Neil her parents - not forgetting the two Westies!
The family had worked really hard and had made many of the accessories by hand which gave everything a lovely touch. The classic old VW Campervan arrived and took Amanda and the bridesmaids off to the church and then returned for Kayleigh and her Dad.
Graham had arrived at the church in time to cover the Groom, Best Man and ushers shots along with Lee's family, I joined him there ready for the Campervan's arrival.
It was a lovely service in a very old church that had a balcony that allowed us to get some great images looking down, there were some great hymns which were sung with gusto, we then had the signing of the register and then Kayleigh and Lee walked up the aisle as newlyweds to the accompaniment of "I'm forever blowing bubbles".
We gathered outside and the happy couple greeted their guests and mingled, after a while we covered the list of family and friends groups, then moving down the steps where bubbles were blown and confetti thrown.
They then got in to the Campervan for the short journey to Barleylands Farm where a Marquee had been erected and inside it looked absolutely stunning, decorated by family and friends - a real country fayre theme, old china, flags and cupcakes on each table.
We finished off the list of groups in front of the lake whilst everyone mingled and enjoyed drinks. we then took Kayleigh & Lee off for some up close and personal shots around the lake.
The food was supplied by a Fish & Chip van that duly arrived and started cooking and it was great to see everyone queuing up for their food, after this deserts were served and we moved onto speeches which were moving, emotional and funny.
We then went outside to capture some casual images before moving back inside for the cutting of the cake and finally the first dance which was very romantic, everyone then got onto the dancefloor to join them.
It was a lovely day with lots of unusual touches and ideas which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone there.
